Biography
One of the most popular Polish cartoonists of the 1980s. He became famous mainly for his albums "Night of the Righteous Fists", "Harper's Revenge", and especially for the series "Doman". In addition to comic books, he created illustrations and artwork for such publishing houses as National Publishing Agency, Youth Publishing Agency, Interpress, Orbita and Pomorze. He published in Dziennik Wieczorny, Fantastyka (e.g., the excellent, graphically refined comic strip "Larkis"), Świat Młodych, Szpilek, Express Illustrated, Polityka, Panorama, Życie Warszawy and Dziennik Łódzki. Most of Nowakowski's old comics are today referred to as 'cult'. In the mid-1980s they were the most widely read items of the comic sci-fi and fantasy genre on our market.
