Grzegorz Skrzypek was born in Sosnowiec, Poland. He is a graduate of the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. He received his diploma in easel painting in the studio of Professor Włodzimierz Kunz, and an annex in drawing in the studio of Professor Slawomir Karpowicz. He is a member of the Association of Polish Artists and Designers and the Dąbrowa "GOŁONÓG" art group. He is also a teacher of drawing and painting at the Complex of Art Schools in Dąbrowa Górnicza. He creates cycles of pastel and oil still lifes and landscapes, painting and drawing representations of "CONIOSTORS," and cycles of portraits and caricatures. The crazy world of "CONIOSTORS" are compositions springing from the artist's imagination, where sometimes solitary, sometimes in flocks are depicted creatures full of sound, movement and form enclosed in their intimate worlds. The artist's works are in private collections at home and abroad.
