Zbigniew ZIOMECKI
1930 - 2015
Polish satirical cartoonist. During World War II, he participated in the underground using the pseudonym Hermes, with the rank of second lieutenant of the Home Army, and was a liaison officer for the outpost "Konie" of the 8th Grójec "Głuszec" District. He graduated from the State High School of Fine Arts in Warsaw. His drawing first appeared in the weekly magazine Mucha in 1951. From 1952 to the early 1990s, he published drawings in Szpilki. He also published in other magazines and showed drawings at exhibitions.
