Stanislaw PAWELEC (1923-2004)
Photographer, graphic artist and draughtsman, studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow from 1950 to 1954, graduating under Prof. L. Gardowski, member of the Association of Polish Artists and Designers since 1954. As a graphic designer and photojournalist, he cooperated with Silesian press publications: \"Trybuna Robotnicza" and "Panorama". In "Panorama," he headed the photography department for 20 years. In addition to photography, he practiced woodcutting and drawing. He is the author of photographs for numerous books, and has published many materials popularizing art and culture, with a special focus on cycles devoted to ethnography.
