Biography
Visual artist working with various media, relying primarily on painting. She graduated in 2020 from the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (Erasmus+ at ESBAMA Montpellier, France) and costume design at MSKPU in Warsaw. The artist is creatively active abroad and at home. In her works she explores themes related to ecosystems (endangered in the Anthropocene era), weaving in themes inspired by philosophies of ecofeminism, hydro-feminism, or posthumanism. She is interested in the relationship between humans and the environment in a cultural context. In recent years, she has been creating painting ecosystems, implementing explorations on alternative gardening and herbalism as inspiration for visual art within the framework of regenerative culture. In the process, she uses recycled materials, biodegradable materials and slow craft techniques, reducing the harmful effects of her painting practice on the environment. Sladowska's work has been exhibited in various places around the globe: for example, at the Palermo Biennale in Palermo, Italy; Casa Hoffman in Bogotá, Colombia; Hypha Studios (Grey Cube Projects) in London; the KID KIBLA art center in Maribor, Slovenia; the STOND LEEG festival in Antwerp, Belgium; the Myymälä2 gallery; Asbestos Art Space in Helsinki, Finland; and the feminist festival In Feminis Veritas in Berlin. In 2024, her work was included in the MSN's collection on the occasion of the "Delegation of Slippery Matters."
