János Viski (1891 - 1987) painter of Hungarian origin. The main subject of his work was horses and also portrait painting. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Budapest under Prof. Tividar Zempleni. He made numerous study trips to France. From 1923 to 1929 he stayed in America. He traveled to Uruguay, Argentina and Brazil. His first exhibition of paintings was held in 1913, and in 1936 he received the Grand Prix at the Salon de Beaux-Arts in Paris.
