Ewa Trafna
born in 1958 in Warsaw, is a versatile artist working in the fields of painting, sculpture, spatial activities and performance. In 1987-1993 she developed her artistic skills in the studio of Barbara Zbrożyna.
The artist is the recipient of numerous scholarships and awards, including . Scholarship of the Polish Ministry of Culture and Art (1991, 1996) and the prestigious Cranach Foundation (1994, 1995). She has also been recognized for her monument designs, including second prize in the competition for the Gratitude Monument in Opoczno (2009) and second prize for the monument in Smolensk (2012, collective work). In 2008, she created an installation of sacred space at Swietojanska Street in Warsaw, and in 2007 she was awarded in the competition for the Solidarity Museum in Gdansk.
Ewa Trafna's works are in many collections in Poland and around the world. As a painter, sculptor and performer, the artist invites viewers to lose themselves in beauty and reflection.
