BARANOWSKI Wladyslaw (1932-2005) - museum driver, persuaded to carve by Leczyca artist Stanislaw Kopka. After receiving quite a long education, Baranowski made his debut in a folk art competition in the early 1980s. His works were awarded honorable mentions, which encouraged the young artist to continue sculpting. Baranowski's works range in subject matter from typical sacred representations: Escape from Egypt, Sorrowful Christ, Crucified Christ, figures of saints to depicting scenes from the life of the countryside of the Leczyca region.
