TYPE III—plastic (galalite) chips with simple lettering. In 1932, the previously used chips were replaced with new ones. The reason for this change was the typeface (Schwabacher). This was because the casino’s guests were mostly citizens of countries outside the German-speaking world, for whom Schwabacher was difficult to read.
