A pair of lidded ornamental vases in cast bronze with a gilded finish, modeled after the neoclassical krater. Each piece features a domed lid surmounted by a pine cone finial, with the rim decorated with a pod motif. The central body is characterized by a continuous relief frieze depicting a procession of classical male and female figures in various states of clothing and nudity, inspired by Bacchic or mythological themes. The vases are equipped with volute handles with foliage finials that connect to the fluted shoulder. The lower section of the body is decorated with acanthus scrolls, resting on a short fluted stem and a circular base in gilded bronze. The entire structure is mounted on a cylindrical plinth of red-and-white veined marble, likely Griotte marble. The bronze work features chiseled details in the figures and ornamental elements. No signatures or manufacturer’s marks are visible on the outer surfaces of the vases or on the marble bases. The lot includes the dimensional references 36x13.
