The authorship is attributed to the famous Lviv goldsmith Baruch Dornhelm (1858-1928).
The attribution to this goldsmith was suggested by an expert specializing in ancient silver. The artistic level of workmanship, the multitude of ornaments from different eras, which create a historicizing pastiche, and the subject matter of the platter may attest to Dornhelm's authorship.
