Graduated from the Painting Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow in 1954. He was a student of Prof. Wojciech Weiss and Zbigniew Pronaszko, among others. He practiced painting, sculpture and graphics. He presented his works at more than 50 individual exhibitions and participated in more than 150 group exhibitions at home and abroad. He was a researcher and lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. In 2009, on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of Nowa Huta, a monographic exhibition of the artist's works was presented at the Nowa Huta Cultural Center. Several dozen of his works are in the possession of the Historical Museum in Sanok. He represents original art from the borderland of folk fairy tales, combinations of found objects and biological fantasy. His montage sculptures and bas-reliefs from scrap metal, as well as prints, reflected from die-cut waste matrices, make up an evocative world of artistic vision. He has exhibited works at home and abroad mainly in Sweden, Belgium, France, most often in Cracow, Nowa Huta and Sanok. Since 1977, he has cooperated with the Lubuska Art Museum in Zielona Gora, where his author's gallery is still located. His works are in public and private collections in Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Germany, Denmark, Switzerland, France, Norway, Sweden, Israel, the USA and Canada.
