Agnieszka Ewa Stobnicka (born 1968) - graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun. Painter, art teacher and instructor of occupational therapies. For many years she worked at the Art and Youth Gallery in Plock. She co-created and was active in leading open-air art events and organizing exhibitions at the OTO JA Art Association. She gained experience at the ARTEmi Art Studio, combining glass with stones in various art projects.
One can see traces of inspiration in her from artists such as Henri Rousseau, Marc Chagall, Paul Gauguin and Giorgio Chirico. It manifests itself in the exploration of colors, use of symbolism and surrealistic compositions, creating a mixture of magic with a pinch of poetry, but her paintings are first and foremost her own view of the world through rose-colored glasses, a reflection of her fanciful dreams and fantasies, which she is happy to share with others.
A few words from the artist about the inspiration for the painting: A rooster appeared one night in my dream. He stepped on the rope unhurriedly, consciously, maintaining perfect balance. One could say that with courage and determination in the face of risk. The rope could symbolize the challenge of overcoming obstacles or achieving something difficult, or perhaps a connection between the past and the future. So the rooster crowing along it may symbolize the transition from one stage of life or experience, to the next. Or maybe the whole surreal landscape is just a desire to escape reality? Closest to my heart, however, is "What if everything is possible."
