August III of Saxony, 10 thalers (double August d’or) 1756 EC
Obverse:
A bust in right-facing profile, wearing a crown and armor.
Inscription on the rim: D G AVGVSTVS III REX POLONIARUM
Reverse:
Below the crown, a shield bearing the coats of arms of Poland, Lithuania, and the House of Saxony. Below the shield, the denomination 10 TH and the initials E–C (Ernest Dietrich Croll—master of the Leipzig Mint).
Inscription on the rim: SAC ROM IMP ARCHIM ET ELECT 1756

. Slight straightening. Weaker obverse. Significantly better reverse. An impressive coin. Good appearance. A rare, prized, and sought-after denomination. A rare coin that is difficult to find on the collectors’ market.
