Olga Bukowska 2018-2021
Raised in a household of artists, she treats creation as a natural and necessary activity for life. She paints using a variety of techniques: from tendentious pen miniatures on paper, to batiks that live in the wind, to large-format canvases that are created with dance and music. She paints as widely as she feels. Because Olga paints EMOTIONS. In a digital, rational world, she captures the small sorrows and fireworks of enthusiasm, the pawsomeness of a child and the darkness of a gaze, the poignant chill of an empty street and the sensual roundness of a hip. He paints and dances! Movement, music, light, interaction with the audience - in juxtaposition with the still image emerging on the canvas, create an unusual combination of static and dynamic. Life - and the artistic trace of "after life". She is fascinated by the very act of creation, which she shares with the audience most fully in performance - she hypnotizes herself - she herself becomes the painting. She studied at the Faculty of Art at the University of Rzeszow. There she acquired a workshop and the imperative of freedom; the conviction that as an artist she has a duty to be an anarchist; she cannot imitate or copy - not even herself - she must create her own reality. Her masters are professors Marek Olszyński, Antoni Nikiel, Marek Pokrywka, Anna Steliga, Marlena Makiel
