10 Francs 1983, a Cameroonian circulation coin issued by the Bank of Central African States (BEAC).
The obverse features three eland antelopes and the inscription “BANQUE DES ETATS DE L'AFRIQUE CENTRALE.” The reverse bears the denomination “10 Francs” surrounded by a wreath.
The coin is struck in aluminum bronze. Weight: 4 g; diameter: 23.1 mm. Minted in Paris.
Catalog mintage: 18,000,000 pieces.
The coin is part of the “Coins of All Nations” collector’s series issued by The Franklin Mint and comes in its original envelope with a postage stamp and a postmark.
The envelope is complemented by a 1983 Cameroonian postage stamp with a face value of 70 francs, dedicated to the promotion of women in Cameroon and depicting a female lawyer taking an oath.
The envelope was postmarked in Yaoundé in 1983.
