The multifaceted & sensual art of Ricarda Montani: Born in the Mozart city of Salzburg, she experienced the heyday of Austrian galleries, including in Vienna, before opening her studio in Saint-Tropez. Her paintings are snapshots of emotions. They are mostly based on photographs of female models that she develops herself in her darkroom, using old materials such as baryta photographic paper to give character to her work. "My professional career started in 2016 when I was invited to exhibit at Art Basel in Miami. It made me very proud to see my pictures next to Gerhard Richter's and Andy Warhol's work at ABM. And I was even prouder when I realized that all my paintings were sold during the VIP pre-party," says the artist happily.
