A handy guide to the Warsaw judiciary, compiled by the chief clerk of the capital’s Regional Court and published with the authorization of the court’s president. Rudzisz is listed here as the publisher, acting on his own behalf. Publications of this type organized knowledge about the structure and personnel of the judiciary and are used today in research on the history of the judiciary of the Second Polish Republic. At the same time, the “Court Calendar and Directory” was published; from 1931 to 1933, it was edited by Jerzy Kirkiczenko and Marian Kraczkiewicz, and starting with the 1934 edition, Rudzisz joined them as the third editor. All of these yearbooks were published in Warsaw.
Kazimierz Rudzisz served as Chief Secretary of the District Court in Warsaw. His signature in that capacity, alongside that of President Tadeusz Kamieński, appears beneath a court notice in *Monitor Polski* No. 71 from 1931, an issue that also contained a list of lay judges of the District Court from the employers’ group.
Provenance: a piece without institutional stamps, library call numbers, or handwritten ownership inscriptions.
A must-have for scholars of Warsaw history, researchers of the interwar judiciary, and genealogists seeking information on the membership of the Warsaw bar, the judiciary, and the notarial profession. A modest, practical first-hand publication, issued by a man who knew the capital’s court from the inside.
The piece is in clean condition. The original paper cover is complete and bright, with no missing pieces, scuffs, or stains; the flexible spine is intact, with no tears or cracks.
