“Blaudruki” was the term used for fabrics decorated using the batik technique and dyed with indigo. Attempts—not particularly successful—to produce blaudruki on an industrial scale were undertaken in Gryfów Śląski in the 19th century. The collection of the Wrocław Ethnographic Museum includes several blaudruki and many blocks used for decorating them. In Silesia, the Stein family was involved in their production, and their activities are documented in such towns as Ścinawa (Steinau an der Oder), Przemków (Primkenau), Góra (Guhrau), Szlichtyngowa (Schlichtingsheim), Strupina (Stroppen), Leśnica (Lissa), Lubin (Lüben), Rudna (Raudten), and Polkowice (Polkwitz).
