16-pcs, Villeroy & Boch, Mettlach, 1987/88, porcelain, white, partially coloured, breakfast service 'American Football' from the design project 'Spirit of the USA' by Villeroy & Boch in collaboration with the University of Applied Arts in Vienna, nine students of the master class for ceramics/product design under the direction of Prof. Dr. Mattheo Thun developed and produced their own tableware collection in a limited edition of a maximum of 50 pieces per series as unique pieces (as a rule, the number of 50 pieces was not reached). The 'American Football' service by designer Johanna Schmeiser (1967, Graz, Austria) was created under the motto 'American sport - the breakfast table as a playing field'. 1 coffee pot in the shape of a football player, H 25,5 cm, 6 cups or mugs, H 9.5 cm and 14.2 cm, 6 plates, 21.5 cm x 19 cm, 1 bowl, H 6.7 cm and a football, with manufacturer's mark and inscription on the underside, condition A, one plate with small production defect, catalogue enclosed
