A graduate of the Faculty of Painting and Graphic Arts at the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, where he studied in Prof. Jerzy Krechowicz’s graphic design studio and Prof. Henryk Cześnik’s painting studio. He received his diploma in painting in 1994, with a specialization in printmaking under Prof. Wiesław Dębski. The artist’s painterly fascinations include the works of Albrecht Dürer, Mathis Grünewald, and Rembrandt. He places the human figure at the center of his work—often lost, internally torn, and buffeted by strong emotions. The artist juxtaposes expressively rendered portraits or fragments of the human body with an abstract, conventional space, experimenting with color fields, line, and texture.
