The work depicts the distinctive, Don Quixote figure on horseback in a minimalist landscape, executed with a unique blend of graphic techniques, typical of Dalí's work from the 1960s-70s.The series is a tribute to the great figures and symbols of Spanish history and culture. "The Knight" (often interpreted as Don Quixote or a Spanish nobleman) is one of the most recognizable boards in the series. The delicate colors applied using the pochoir method, probably depict the landscape of Castile.
