Vase made in the second half of the 20th century by Bolesław Wolanin at the “Bolesławiec” Ceramics Factory. The form, with its distinctive, decorative silhouette, is accentuated by a cobalt-gradient glaze.

Biography
Bronisław Wolanin graduated from the Art High School in Zamość and the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław, where he studied in the Ceramics Department under Prof. Julia Kotarbińska and received his diploma with honors. Bronisław Wolanin is one of the most talented artists from Bolesławiec. From 1964 to 1980, he served as artistic director at the “Ceramika Artystyczna” Artistic Handicrafts Cooperative, and from 1980 to 1985, he was the artistic director and designer at the “Bolesławiec” Ceramics Plant. From 1985 to the present, he has worked as artistic director and designer at the “Ceramika Artystyczna” Artistic Handicrafts Cooperative.
