A rare and difficult to obtain denomination of the designs of the first gold issues. Here, additionally, in a noticeably rarer variety.
For twenty-dollar coins, as for the lower denominations, patterns were prepared for the domestic and foreign markets, for the former introducing additional security features.
Designs for the foreign market, except for the larger MODEL overprint (without the dot), had no perforations and no design numerator. As a result, being closer in perception to circulating banknotes, they are more highly valued collectors today.
A great asset of the present piece is the preserved original presentation cardboard. We at auctions in Poland see it for the first time.
