The front side depicts the figure of St. John of Nepomuk with five stars around his head, which is his traditional iconographic attribute. It stands on a decorative plinth, complete with an angel and other symbolic elements.
The reverse bears an inscription in Czech:
"MEMORIAL OF THE CENTENNIAL GLORY OF JAN NEPOMUCKÉ'S SWATE PROCLAMATION IN 1829."
The medal was probably issued as a souvenir for pilgrims and participants in celebrations connected with the St. John's cult, which was in the 18th and 19th centuries. century especially strong in Central Europe.
