Jan Sikorski—a painter—arrived from Russia in the 1920s and settled in Wołomin. He painted portraits, landscapes—often of the Tatra Mountains—and still lifes. He exhibited at the Warsaw Art Society and the TZSP from 1924 to 1939. Critics described the artist’s paintings as “painted with bold, sweeping strokes while capturing nature realistically.”
