Eugeniusz Kazimirowski studied (intermittently) at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow in 1892-99, among others with L.Wyczółkowski and T.Axentowicz. In 1897 he left for Munich, where he studied at the school of A.Ažbe, and then at the Academy under J.C.Herterich; he also studied at the Baila School in Paris. In 1900 he stayed in Italy and attended the Academy of St. Luke in Rome.
After returning to Poland, he lived in Krakow, from where he often traveled to Ukraine and Vilnius, painting there numerous landscapes
and portraits. He took part in the independence movement and volunteered to serve in the Polish army. After 1914, he settled in Vilnius. In addition to painting, he was involved in theater decoration and worked as a teacher. In 1936 he moved to Bialystok, where he was active in sightseeing societies and contributed to the tourist propaganda of the region. His considerable painting output consisted primarily of portraits and picturesque landscapes of Ukraine, Lithuania, Suwalszczyzna and Bialowieza, but also included religious paintings, hunting scenes, plant and animal studies. His mostly realistic works sometimes betrayed the influence of symbolism and a tendency to stylization. Most of the artist's paintings were lost after his death.
