Borgogno Barolo Riserva 2006 (1 bottle)
Comments
"Giacomo Borgogno is a historic estate, distinguished for the region, whose wines have been served and opened at many important national celebrations. Best known for its Riserva wines, as well as single vineyard labels: from Cannubi, Fossati, and being their monopole Liste.
Organic cultivation, some of it certified, fermentation in concrete vats and storage of the wines in cellars for extended periods are the producer's hallmarks. Each of the vintages on offer provides a glimpse of the producer's style at a different stage of development. The focus is on mature, developed vintages that allow the nebbiolo varietal to show its full potential. While the 2005, 2006 and 2007 vintages still combine maturity with youthful character, the 1998 vintage brings to mind associations with autumn, pharmacy and a walk in the woods."
