Giacomo Borgogno is a historic estate, distinguished for the region, whose wines have been served and opened at many important national celebrations. Best known for its Riserva wines, as well as single vineyard labels: from Cannubi, Fossati, and being their monopole Liste.
Organic cultivation, some of it certified, fermentation in concrete vats and storing the wines in cellars for extended periods are the producer's hallmarks.
The 2016 Riserva is made from fruit grown in the producer's most important vineyards. This wine is the product of a vintage already considered historic. Perfect weather conditions translated into beautiful wines with elegant expression and very serious aging potential.
Cherries, crushed stones, spices, smoke and dried flowers, all served impressively and with flavor. Discovering this wine over the years, bottle by bottle, is sure to be an exciting journey into the world of Barolo wines.
