Atmospheric winter scene by Wladyslaw Chmielinski - one of the most outstanding Polish painters of genre scenes of the 20th century. The painting shows the moment of a sleigh ride - a dynamic composition with horses harnessed to sledges, rushing through a village covered with snow. The composition is teeming with movement, color and light, while the clear brushstrokes give the whole a vivid expression.
Chmielinski was a master of realistic landscapes and genre scenes, often inspired by the Mazovian province and everyday life. He rendered the atmosphere of a bustling city as well as a nostalgic countryside with equal ease.
The painting is preserved in excellent condition, framed in a representative frame, ready for a collector's display.
