Oleksiy Malykh is a Ukrainian artist.
Born in 1956 in Berlin, Germany.
He has a background in painting, printmaking and pedagogy.
He began his exhibition activity in 1979.
Since 1987, he has participated in numerous exhibitions and projects, more than 70 of which were individual and took place in Ukraine, Poland, Germany, France, Switzerland, Spain, Hungary, Chile and Azerbaijan.
Since 1995, he has been a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine.
1996-2019 - co-curator and participant of the land art festival "Spring Wind" (Kyiv), participant of international land art symposia and festivals in Ukraine: "Borderland Space" (Mogritsa), "Khortytsia" (Zaporizhzhia), "Carpathian Space" (Ivano-Frankivsk), and author of art installations in urban space in Ukraine (Kyiv, Sumy, Ivano-Frankivsk).
Since 2011 - author of the idea (together with Eugene Buck, USA) and curator of the project "Breath of the Earth" (2011, 2013, 2024, Kyiv, Ukraine).
Since 2018 - curator of the Ukrainian group of artists at the international plein-air "Signs of the Borderland" (Poland).
Since 2020 - co-curator of Imagine Point contemporary art gallery (Kyiv, Ukraine).
He is the author of the program in contemporary painting.
He lives and works in Kyiv (Ukraine).
His works are in the collections of about 10 museums in Ukraine, as well as in institutional and private collections in Ukraine, Poland, Germany, USA, England, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Bulgaria, France, Spain, Switzerland, Chile, Guatemala, Georgia and Azerbaijan.
