Katarzyna Kuciel - born September 17, 1988 in Krakow. Painter by passion, architect by education.
From an early age my passion has been painting. Already in elementary school every notebook was filled with drawings. After artistic activities, I always found myself better in the sciences. The perfect combination of my opposing interests was to be architecture, which I chose as my field of study. I graduated with two degrees from the Faculty of Architecture at the Cracow University of Technology. Architecture, however, did not become close to me. During my studies, I solidified that painting was my field.
I earned money for my student life by painting portraits and caricatures which allowed me to open my own business right after graduation. Thanks to this decision, I devote a lot of time to painting and find joy in it. I am a lucky woman who loves her work.
In life I am inspired by other people, their behavior, emotions, human interactions. Besides, I am fascinated by nature, its diversity, space. Another great passion of my life is mountain hiking and traveling. In the mountains, in natural landscapes, I find peace and a sense of freedom. These motifs often appear in my works. The human figure, emotional portrait is a particularly close subject for me.
In addition to carrying out my own projects, I conduct art classes with children.
