Acrylic paints and metallic pigments on 40cm diameter, 40cm x 40cm HDF hardboard
Spontaneous gesture painting always has its mysteries. Anna Ksamit addresses non-obvious, general issues in her works. One of the most important is the pursuit of unattainable inner harmony. The painter is fascinated by the inner life of people, and tries to make her paintings reflect this. These are not figurative compositions, portraits or still lifes. Her gesture painting is a study of feelings and a mechanism to get to know the world better.
Contained in a circular form, the paintings are filled with curvilinear arabesques, patterns of abstract, interlaced lines, swirls and spirals. Her style of painting round paintings is characterized by smooth, rounded lines. She creates fully abstract patterns. The forms of swirls, circles and spirals allude to the circular form of the painting. The patterns can evoke all sorts of associations. No right angles can be found in this form of painting. Just like in nature.
