Biography
Graduate of the Faculty of Economics at the University of Lodz, who has devoted most of her professional life to artistic fields. For more than fifteen years she was engaged in creating jewelry, and then for the last few years she has enjoyed considerable success in painting. Characteristic features of her works are geometric, simple forms and sharp lines. The artist masterfully uses color - in her works colors intermingle, creating spatial compositions of exceptional dynamics. She moves with equal freedom in a palette of saturated, intense colors, as well as in subtle shades of gray. Emphasized edges, often in contrasting or golden colors, have become her trademark. She creates under the influence of the moment and emotion, making successive works dramatically different in both color and subject matter. Her canvases sometimes resemble colorful fabrics, at other times they take the raw form of computer graphics. Her work is clearly influenced by Hard-Edge and Op-Art - directions from which, as she herself points out, she draws most of her inspiration. The work of such masters as Horacio Garcia Rossi, Victor Vasarely, Bridget Riley, Richard Paul Lohse and Frank Stella remains an important source of artistic exploration for her.
