Banknote 1000 Polish marks 1919 MODEL , series : I SERJA E , so called Vienna issue.
Running numbering in the unlisted range of this type of pattern. There are known patterns of this denomination with series : I SERIES E , with running numbering, whose sequence of numbers begins with 528.... or 746..... , pieces from the auction have numbering starting with the digits: 744...... , with this number range is unlisted in the Czeslaw Miłczak catalog.
The banknote has a diagonal overprint "MODEL" on both sides, placed between two parallel lines, in red.
This is the correct pattern for issuing Viennese marks, with the frequent occurrence of forgeries of various types (with running numbering), here we have a certain pattern from the era. The MODEL overprint itself is also not questionable, the font used in it is characteristic of MODEL overprints of Polish mark issues of the Second Republic. It is one of the variations of the pattern. This banknote, due to the rather large availability of this denomination on the collector market but in the circulating version, is quite an underrated value, and the opportunity to buy it appears rarely.
A nice piece, confirmed by the corresponding PMG grading note.
Literature : Miłczak 229Wb - with this range no. is unlisted in the catalog.
