Graduated from the Department of Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk, graduating in the studio of Professor Edward Sitek in 1986. Currently a professor at the Department of Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk. He presents his works in prestigious galleries at home and abroad. Winner of many awards. He gives his realizations the character of continuous construction. Radically simplifying the style, he shifts the focus of all decisions towards massive masses with angular, rhythmic shapes and clearly emphasized tectonics. Treating material as an important component of art and an attribute of ideas, the artist materializes his designs most preferably in wood, although he also combines this material with stone and ceramics. He considers the syncretism of the values of traditional art with the contemporary way of solving artistic problems, both formally and aesthetically, to be a matter of primary importance.
