Biography
Graduate of the Faculty of Sculpture at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts, where he studied in the studio of Professor Janusz Antoni Pastwa. One of the most recognizable Polish sculptors of the younger generation, whose work combines technical perfection, classical inspirations and bold formal experimentation. In his artistic practice he reaches for both monumental forms in public space and intimate, intimate sculptures inspired by everyday life.
He experiments with a variety of materials - from bronze, stone and aluminum to fabric, sticks or found objects. He is known for his "guerrilla" sculptural interventions in urban spaces and uncompromising installation exhibitions, which often arouse extreme emotions in viewers. The titles of his works and their placement are often a critical commentary on the relationship between culture and politics, oppressive institutional mechanisms or imposed social norms.
A distinguishing feature of his work is its intense emotional layer - the artist tackles themes of loneliness, alienation, loss and internal conflict, which are translated into the form and expression of his works. Regardless of the technique used, his sculptures attempt to capture the human condition and states of mind, often a reflection of his personal experiences.
He has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions in New York, London, Cannes, Berlin, Munich, Paris, Reykjavik and Warsaw.
