Krystyna Nowakowska - The artist was born in 1953 in Rzeszów . In 1973 she graduated from the Lyceum of Fine Arts in Jaroslaw .In 1973-1979 she studied at the Faculty of Sculpture of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. She received her diploma under the direction of Professor Jerzy Bandura in 1979.Z Krystyna Nowakowska is engaged in sculpture, creating unique compositions in wax, which are cast in bronze using the technique of "smelted models". The results of her work have been presented at many individual and collective exhibitions at home and abroad, including at the "ARTEMIS'' Gallery in Cracow in 2002, at the ZPAP "Pro Arte'' Gallery in Zielona Gora in 2003, in galleries Vollenhouve-Holland-1992, La Galerie du City Concorde-Luxemburg 1996,in Konsthalle Solvesborg Sweden 2000, in the Historical Museum of the City of Cracow, in 2004, in TAKT Gallery in Vienna 2017 and many others. The artist also participated in many group exhibitions in Poland, Germany, France, Italy, Sweden, the Netherlands. In 2006, at the XI Salon of Art of the Creative Association " POLART" in Krakow, she received a Silver Medal, and at the XV Salon in 2010 she received a Gold Medal. In 2011, taking part in the Art Salon on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Association of Polish Artists of the Krakow District 1911-2011 in the Palace of Art in Krakow, she received an award in the field of sculpture ""GOLDEN FRAME". For her creative-sculpture work, she received an art scholarship from the Minister of Culture and Art in 1987 , and a creative scholarship from the City of Cracow in 1988. In 2016 she was awarded the Bronze Medal "Meritorious for Culture Gloria Artis" by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland. The artist's sculptural works are in the collections of the Historical Museum of the City of Krakow, in the collections of the City Gallery in Csongrad (Hungary) , Mikolow and Iserlohn in Germany , in the Museum of the People's Republic of Poland in Nowa Huta, in private collections at home and abroad, including in Krakow , Warsaw, Hungary, Bolivia, France, the Netherlands, Japan, Germany, Norway, Switzerland, Sweden, the USA , Italy. The artist has repeatedly participated in International Art Plein Airs in France and Germany and in exhibitions held there, she also took part in sculpture symposia in Iserlohn - Germany and in Csongrad - Hungary. During an open-air workshop in Mikolow she realized a sculpture cast in bronze placed on a marble pedestal in the center of the city. Krystyna Nowakowska is a member of the Association of Polish Artists and Designers, she belongs to the Society of Friends of Fine Arts in Cracow and the Creative Association "Polart" .
