Kazimierz Gustaw Zemla - sculptor, specializes in monumental, sacred and studio sculpture. His work is characterized by a strong sense of drama, metaphorical and symbolic nature of form. It is deeply Christian, while rooted in the ancient tradition.
Born on November 1, 1931 in Jasienica Rosielna, he grew up in Brzozow near Sanok. After the war, he and his mother settled in Breslau, where he attended the high school of fine arts. His artistic development was greatly influenced by his older brother's Latin textbooks with antique illustrations, as well as visits to a Baroque church, where he viewed sculptures, paintings and frescoes.
