A cast of the sculpture made of matte black aqua résine, covered with a layer of gold leaf. It is mounted on a matte black pedestal bearing the gold-plated inscription “I. J. PADEREWSKI.” The work was submitted to the second edition of the I. J. Paderewski International Competition “In the Service of Art and the Homeland,” organized by the Roi Doré Gallery in Paris. It qualified for the finals and was presented at the finalists’ exhibition at the Roi Doré Gallery (Paris, June 30–July 30, 2016) and in Bydgoszcz, during the exhibition “In the Service of Art and the Fatherland,” held in conjunction with the 10th I. J. Paderewski International Piano Competition (Bydgoszcz, November 6–20, 2016). Very good condition.
The work comes with a certificate from the artist.

Andrzej Szczepaniec "Setta" was born in Kraków, where he graduated from the High School of Fine Arts and the Academy of Fine Arts. In1989, he moved to New York, where he initially worked for an antique restoration company and later took on commissions for New York-based and international firms as well as private clients, creating, among other things, sculptures and portraits of well-known figures from the worlds of entertainment, sports, and politics (including sculpted portraits of Reagan and Gorbachev, intended for the Reagan Library), he created set pieces for Broadway plays and films shot in New York, as well as designs for silverware (including for Tiffany & Co.), interior design elements, and architectural models. In 2004, he received an award at the Big Apple Festival for his “Apple Spider-Man” design—the sculpture was installed in Times Square, where it enjoyed immense popularity.
The artist has exhibited his works in Europe and the United States; his sculptures are part of private and public collections around the world and also adorn public spaces, including in Poland and the U.S.
