Parker Duofold Centennial MKI blue marbled fountain pen The production of the Parker Duofold models started in 1987 in Newhaven, UK. The model was designed to celebrate the Company's jubilee for the first 100 years of activity.
The reference model was the Big Red, the 1920's famous Parker model which had played such a relevant role in the history of the fountain pen.
The Duofolds were however initially manufactured only in a limited range of marbled colors (blue, burgundy and green) and in  black. These models are referred to as MKI. The cap of this Parker Duofold Centennial MKI is marked Made in UK - PE (1987) which places it in the very early production.
