One of the rarest Lublin tri-coins of Sigismund III Vasa.
THE RAREST variant of the final year of issue, featuring the DATE and the INITIALS I-F (of Jan Firlej) IN A SINGLE LINE!
Highly rare according to the publications of Iger (R6), Kopicki (R7), and Marzęta—RRR.
A RARE variant, UNLISTED in the catalogs by Iger and Marzęta , featuring DOTS on either side of the denomination digit ( instead of stars or rosettes)!
Additionally, a rarer punctuation error—the king’s name separated by a period (SI•G).
Apart from the one offered in this auction, there has been only one other piece of this variant in Onebid’s history—in 2013!
In our opinion, this is the most beautiful piece offered to date.
Plenty of mint luster and a charming, cabinet-quality patina, with minor surface imperfections.
We highly recommend it.
