A very rare ducal denarius, Wrocław, post-1097; on the obverse, a cross-shaped monogram "IS" and the inscription "BOLEXSLAVS"; on the reverse, the head of St. John and the inscription "+ S IOHΛNNES" in the rim. Kopicki assigned the highest rarity grade R8 (as Bolesław II the Bold); Stronczyński does not list it; Suchodolski (The Beginnings of Coinage in Wrocław) type 2. A very rare coin achieving very high prices on the auction market (highest WCN44 - grade III+ 13,750 PLN). An important typological item.
