A rare coin with a twisted die, and in mint condition to boot. The coin was struck using dies twisted relative to each other by approximately 320 degrees to the right. Circulated coins with misalignment are extremely rare. In coin collections from the last century, which were machine-struck in vast quantities, it is not the number of coins that determines the quality of the collection, but the number of gems it contains. There is no higher class of gems than low-mintage TRIALS, and even rarer than these are the interesting minting errors (misalignments, reversals) that arise by chance.
