Magdalena WINIARSKA-GOTOWSKA, born 1927 in Poznan, Poland. She began her studies in 1947 at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Geneva, then studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow under Xawery Dunikowski and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in the atelier of Franciszek Strynkiewicz (diploma 1953). She specialized in the Department of Ceramics under Wanda Golakowska. She belongs to the creative group "Keramos" and is a member of the AIC. (...) She won prizes in international competitions, including: gold medal from Faenza 1976; gold medal at the International Ceramics Competition "Pro Tadino" in Gualdo Tadino 1974 and 1975; first prize in Erfurt 1978.
