Excerpts from article #2 titled:On the Road to Breakthrough. Resolving the Jewish Question in Poland:"...Poland's raison d'etat indicates: a) that the Jews are the seedbed of the Communists' destructive influence. Communist activists in Poland are recruited, according to official statistics, 85 percent from Jewish families. Characteristically, a very large percentage of Jews come from wealthy families. This indicates that it is by no means material conditions that push Jews to communism, but destructive mental qualities. It is obvious that any proliferation of communism in Poland is a crime against the Polish Nation...."
and from 3-4 titled: No. LAW GHETTO AT HIGHER UNIVERSITIES. The Polish academicians fought long and persistently for the isolation of Jews at universities. Academic-Poles could not and did not want to work with a Jew "shoulder to shoulder," did not want to share a bench in lecture halls, tables and equipment in drawing rooms and laboratories with him. The young Polish generation had long since erased from their lives all forms of coexistence with Jewry; universities were the only area where a collegial rapprochement. In practice, this was marked year after year by fierce anti-Jewish speeches, encompassing the entire academic youth; year after year, new hosts of young students, future engineers, doctors, lawyers, joined the action, led by older colleagues, the action to remove Jews from the life of the Polish university. Finally, after a long struggle, the academic youth achieved its first victory . At the beginning of the new academic year, an order was issued by the rectors of all universities on the separation of seats for Polish and Jewish academics, and a few days later there was approval of the division of benches by the Minister of Education. Thus the academic authorities relented from their position of repression against academic youth and shared the validity of their demands. Since the academic year 1937/38, a legal bench ghetto for Jews has been in effect."
