From the wing of the circumference:

"The publication of the book with this title, written by Pilot General Stanislaw Karpinski in 4 volumes, is the biggest event in postwar aviation literature. Written in a diary style, based undoubtedly on the author's meticulously kept personal notes, later supported by the recollections of others close to him and historical source studies, it is primarily of great value as a historical work.".

BDB-/ condition only the wrapper of one volume is preserved: slightly damaged, otherwise a NICE piece.
