Jazłowiec is one of the oldest Polish settlements in western Podolia, to date there is a convent of the Sisters of the Immaculate Conception founded in 1863, housed in a palace built in 1644-1659 by Crown Hetman Stanisław and his son Aleksander Koniecpolski and which was the ancestral seat of the Poniatowskis from 1746 until the end of the 18th century.
