Schelte Adamsz.Bolswert initially worked in Haarlem and Amsterdam. From 1625 he was listed in Brussels and Antwerp. He collaborated with Rubens and Van Dyck. He was the author of more than 350 engravings. Until 1645, the publisher of his engravings was Maarten van den Enden . After 1645, his establishment was taken over by Gillis Hendricx, who republished some of the copperplates.
