digital print, LED backlit film on tablet, power supply, 47 x 37 cm
Darya Chervatsiuk was born in Vitebsk, Belarus. She studied tourism and forestry in Minsk, but realized in her third year that she didn't want to work in this specialty and began to learn UI/UX design on her own. She later became a specialist in this field. After 2020, she emigrated from Belarus for political reasons. She traveled the world for about 9 months until she stopped in Warsaw, where she found a home and her unusual style in art. Darya draws on an iPad in a fluid art style, but her paintings show clear lines. The works are illuminated with an LED tablet after printing, so they are not only a decoration for the room, but can also serve as a kind of soft lighting. "Ever since I can remember, I've always drawn, or rather copied the works of artists I like, but I didn't have my own style. And then one day, prompted by an insatiable desire to create something myself, inspired by the works of other artists and psychedelic experiences, I tried to create a painting not on canvas, but digitally, in which I feel much more comfortable, since I have been working this way for many years. And I did it." Daria continues to evolve in her style. You can follow her work on Instagram @dasha_cherra
